The Trap Door is a modern-day, speakeasy style bar located in Clare, Michigan. Our mission is to provide a unique selection of hand-crafted cocktails, rare whiskeys, craft beer, and elegant wines that will compliment our imitation of an underground establishment during the Prohibition era. We operate on a first come first serve basis, and strive to offer a one of a kind experience that will allow our guests the opportunity to relax, socialize, and celebrate a ravishing future.

Mobster Mash Murder Mystery Dinner at The Trap Door
Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m. Approximately 2 hours | $100 per couple
Step behind The Trap Door once again for another all new evening of mystery, intrigue, and unforgettable dining. Enjoy an immersive murder mystery experience paired with a specially curated menu featuring:
- Mini charcuterie plate
- Fresh salad
- Exclusive event flatbread
- Dessert
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and seating is limited. The $100 ticket price admits two guests and includes the full dining experience, entertainment, and event gratuity. Additional gratuity for our service staff and performers is never expected, but always warmly appreciated.
Please note: This experience may include adult themes, language, and content that may not be suitable for all ages. Due to the intimate nature of the performance and the unique layout of The Trap Door, guests may be seated at a shared table with other attendees. We invite you to embrace the experience—you may arrive as strangers, but by the end of the evening, everyone is a suspect.

Introducing Jenn Simons, the Manager at The Trap Door Speakeasy. Jenn oversees day-to-day operations, ensures exceptional guest experiences, and manages the team behind one of the city’s most unique and inviting cocktail destinations. With a passion for hospitality and a deep appreciation for the art of mixology, Jenn is dedicated to creating a memorable atmosphere that blends timeless charm with modern elegance.
Outside of work, Jenn enjoys spending quality time with family and their beloved dogs. An avid reader, they often find solace in a good book, whether it’s fiction or nonfiction. Her commitment to balance and well-being extends to both her personal and professional life, fostering a warm and welcoming environment for both staff and patrons alike.
